Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)

Rated: PG-13 for sci-fi violence and some intense images.
Small Summary: Three years after the Battle of Geonosis, the Clone Wars are coming to a close. Obi-Wan Kenobi,
now a general, is sent by the Republic to bring down remaining Separatists Count Dooku and General Grievous. And Chancellor
Palpatine has become corrupt, proclaiming himself Emperor, and, with Anakin Skywalker's help, begins to turn the Republic
into the Galactic Empire. As Anakin ultimately becomes the evil we know as Darth Vader, Padme goes into hiding, and, at the
end of one war, another conflict we know all too well is about to begin.
Review: Basically everyone that I know that has seeing the final chapter in the Star Wars saga
has love it. What I really like about this film is that it has GREAT Special Effects. The acting was great, only few awkward
moments where you don't know what to react to it, you could even hear giggles in the audience. The first 15 minutes of
the, movie were really slow but the rest was great, if you are a Star Wars fan go see the movie, if you are not you will still
love it. A-
Are We There Yet? (2005)
|
Directed by Brian Levant
Writing credits Steven Gary Banks Claudia Grazioso
| Genre: Comedy &Family
Rated: PG for language and rude humor.
Small Summary: The fledgling romance between Nick, a playboy bachelor, and Suzanne, a divorced mother
of two, is threatened by a particularly harrowing New Year's Eve. When Suzanne's work keeps her in Vancouver for the holiday,
Nick offers to bring her kids to the city from Portland, Oregon. The kids, who have never liked any of the men their mom has
dated, are determined to turn the trip into a nightmare for Nick.
Review: I don't know what made me really hate this movie, I'm not a bif "fan" of Ice Cube and I really
don't think he can act at all. After I saw the movie with my 7 year sister I felt that like warning everyone about
this film. I love family films,I really do but at least those that are actually funny and don't make you want to to kill the
two little kids on the movie. If you want to rent a good family movie go and rent Home Alone, I was actually surprised that
my sister and some people in the cinema were laughing. The only good thing about the film is the tittle, the rest is just
a torturous road movie which has got to be one of the worst films made in recent years. D-
Madagascar (2005)

and a hippo (Smith) are best friends and stars of the show. But when one of the animals goes missing from their cage, the
other three break free to look for him, only to find themselves reunited ... on a ship en route to the island of Madagascar.
When their vessel capsizes off the coast, however, the friends, who have all been raised in captivity, learn first-hand what
life can be like in the wild.
Review: I liked the movie, theater full of families. This is not a perfect movie, but it is fun,
fast-paced, and highly entertaining. I love all the spoofs they have on the movie, I love the credits song :)

La Vita è bella - (Life Is Beautiful) (1997)
|
Directed by Roberto Benigni
Writing credits Vincenzo Cerami and Roberto Benigni
| Genre:Comedy, Romance, Drama & War
Rated: PG-13 for holocaust-related thematic elements.
Small Summary: It's 1939. The ebullient, playful Guido comes to town. He works as a waiter under his uncle's
eye, an elegant man who is also a Jew. Guido falls for Dora, a schoolteacher, whom he calls "princess" and courts by popping
up at unexpected times. She dumps her fiancé to choose Guido. The film jumps ahead to the last months of the war. Nora and
Guido have a child, Giosué, and when Guido and the lad are shipped to a concentration camp, Dora voluntarily follows. Although
the men and women in the camp are separated and a child is in mortal peril, Guido finds ways to communicate with Dora, to
hide Giosué, and to convince him this is an elaborate game, a special contest to win a tank.
Review: So I've finally gotten around to watch this movie, years and years after its release. This
is one of those movies that have a lasting effect on you. After watching it, I found that it has less to do with the Holocaust
and more to do with the human feelings and the beautiful relationship of a father and his son. "Life is Beautiful" is a film
about love, optimism, courage and inner strength. I watched the film in Italian, with sub-titles, I hate dubs. This is my
favorite foreign film ever! I Loved it so much, I cried. A+
