The Staff

Music is written on the staff, wich

has 5 lines & 4 spaces

The Treble Cleff

The treble (or G) clef is placed at

the beginning (left side) of each

staff of the guitar music.

Line Notes

Each line has a letter name:

Space Notes

Eache Space has a letter name:

F A C E that rhymes with space.

Pitch

Pitch is the highness or lowness of

a music tone. The higher the pitch,

the higher a note is placed on the

staff and vise versa.

Barlines & Measures

Barlines divide the tsaff nto equal

parts called measures. an ending

barline (not shown) is used to show

the end or a pice of music

Now that you know the fundamentals the only thing left is how to tune your guitar! I have to tell you tuning a guitar is not easy, but the easiest way to tune your guitar is with an electronic tuner, which comes with simple instructions. Electric tuners are not expensive and are used by many professionals guitarist as well beginners.
